Design Thinking is a multi-disciplinary way of solving human centered problems. It can be used as a teaching practice, or by students as a framework for real-world projects. We are inspired by Stanford University's d.school, and the first to implement Design Thinking in a K12 educational setting in Los Angeles, CA.

Students and adults collaborate in designing and conducting Design Thinking Challenges at The Connect Group. One such challenge was focused on drought awareness and required students to actively brainstorm and devise strategies for increasing awareness very rapidly.

Design Thinking was also used to determine the needs of students in our 2014-15 pilot program The Connect Group School.
